Sometimes the other passengers are quiet
Other times not there
Their din or non din redirects my attention to the
The seat next to me is empty as is the
One across
From me
I see a child whose friend
Disappeared, but wasn’t lost
As others left
the unconscious pain it sublimatedleft hidden scars as the boy subtracted and
learned unconscious ways
I see a boy Lining up for a race
Dive gliding in the pool arena
electric shock of liquid cold ice water
underwater gasp reflex
Frozen and drowning and last and alone
cultured instant survival and emerged to strangers’ laughter
And shame without the comfort of mother nature or a stranger
Left hidden scars that subtracted and divided
I see a teen
Ripped from his comfort fighting
With a trapped butterfly for ink in a prison
With a poet warden who couldn’t dream constantly blinkered
Born with siblings as an only child
Splintered mirror vision of a loyal dog welcome
put down
Left hidden scars that inhibited and exhibited and retracted to
sunlight in the dreamy mind
I see a youth dancing on the beach in the
Middle of a storm
Stole out in the night
And lived in the moment in the sunlight of his dreamy mind
Across the rocks and into the rain
And cried out silently to his maker and begged for his true love to
emerge from the sea and decided to wait for
hidden hope of love and passion
I see a young man standing at
The graveside of his mother nature poet warden
In a far away land
With anger and with scars and strangers laughter
Subtracted and divided powerful and silent
living in the sunlight of the dreamy mind
I see a man
Lured by hope and synchronisation by the humour of someone else’s
Faulty mother nature
Attached and inexperienced with optimism and hope
Disappointed by the lack of heredity sync
Lost in another grave with division and subtraction
Stood the man living in the consciousness of the sunlight of his dreamy mind
In the whole that he dug while misty ships sailed passed his
lighthouse into the rocks
As he danced on the beach that stormy night and lived and waited with hope
I see a man On the boys beach
Smiles at the unhidden scars as quiet lessons
Who has waited in the sunlight of his mind
For the love to love
And emerged from the sea unfolds the truth that allows
The sunlight to be transferred from his dreamy mind to his day
And he waits
I can hear the steel on the tracks
Sometimes the other passengers are quiet
Other times not there
Their din or non din redirects my attention to the
Changing clouds outside the window
The seat next to me is empty as is the
One across
From me
